T3 and T4 affect the release of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) from the hypothalamus. GnRH, in turn, stimulates the pituitary gland to release follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH). These hormones are essential for ovarian follicle maturation and ovulation.
