Alexandra graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in Food Science, and then went on to pursue a medical degree from National University of Health Sciences near Chicago, IL. During her undergraduate education, she became passionate about the link between food and health, especially the impact of our relationship with food. Fueled by her own experiences with eating disorders, irritable bowel syndrome, and amenorrhea, she now helps other women heal from their own struggles with food, digestive disorders, and infertility through her online private practice, Nutra-Intuition.
Alexandra’s philosophy towards healthcare is a weight-neutral, non-diet approach, meaning that she believes the primary influences on health should come from the body’s own cues. This sense of intuition is an ability every person was born with, but so often is muffled by the chaotic, diet-centric culture in which we live. Alexandra focuses on equipping her clients with the behavioral tools they need to unlock their own unique biology. Research shows that the human body has an innate sense of intelligence that directs optimal function, and we simply need to remove the cultural, social, and behavioral interference that causes our health to deteriorate. Alexandra helps her clients in healing this delicate relationship between food and their bodies, empowering them to live their healthiest, happiest lives.
What Alexandra enjoys most about her work is the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with clients, and witness powerful changes in their lives. In addition to working one-on-one with women in her private practice, Alexandra is also a certified acupuncturist and full-time medical student. As Alexandra continues to learn about human health, she finds herself increasingly amazed by the human creation, and is inspired to provide the best possible care to her clients and patients.
When she isn’t studying or in client appointments, Alexandra enjoys spending time with family, cooking, playing outside, and exploring the world with her fiancé.
