Popping in for a quickie post this afternoon for two reasons.
First, to share this hilarious photo of a woman looking like she’s having a less-than-stellar experience with her COVID-19 milkshake.
This picture made me laugh out loud, but it also was so not my experience with the experimental Oreo protein shake I made. In fact, this protein shake is probably the most delicious experience I’ve ever had with protein powder in my entire life.
I’m not usually a fan of protein powder, but I sometimes drink it for a quick morning snack when I need to get out the door quickly. Adding a frozen banana and some Oreos was probably the best improv recipe I’ve ever made. So easy, so delicious. And that’s the second reason for this post.
Oreo Banana Protein Shake
- 1 frozen banana
- 1-1/2 scoops (about 3 tablespoons) chocolate protein powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2-3 Oreos
Combine banana, protein powder and milk in a blender and process until smooth. Add in the Oreos and pulse a few times until mostly broken up. (I blended a little longer so I could drink it through a straw.)
